Follow Me tool suitable to be used when we creating object’s shape that has long dimension and has many curves.
We can try Follow me tool on this file minimalist stair.skp for training.
Step 1
Select Rectangle tool, point on the edge side of hollow steel part of the stair and then create small box 5 x 4 cm here as vertical hollow steel.
Step 2
Select Line tool, make a vertical line with length 100 cm on vertical direction. Start point at the center area of the box.
Step 3
Select box and line then select Move Tool
To copy object press ctrl, plus sign at bottom right side is indicating Move tool with copy mode, then move them to the top side of the stair part.

Step 4
Create a line between vertical lines to connect them.
Step 5
Make selection over all lines then select Follow Me tool

Step 6
With Follow Me tool select the box then automatically the box shape will be created along the selected lines.
